Amex Resy Credits Are Becoming More Valuable as Tock Venues Join the Platform

American Express cardholders may soon have many more ways to use their Resy credits.

Tock venues are beginning to appear on Resy as American Express combines the two reservation platforms. The expansion could eventually give cardholders access to a broader mix of restaurants, wineries, tasting menus and prepaid culinary experiences.

There is one important catch: A venue appearing on Resy does not necessarily mean it qualifies for the Resy Credit.

Here is what cardholders need to know.

What Is Changing With Resy and Tock?

American Express acquired Tock in 2024, adding approximately 7,000 restaurants and other hospitality businesses to its dining network. Tock is especially well known for fine-dining reservations, prepaid tasting menus, wineries and ticketed experiences.

American Express subsequently announced plans to bring the Resy and Tock venue networks together. Once the integration is complete, more than 25,000 venues are expected to be bookable through Resy, including over 1,200 wineries, according to the company’s official announcement.

The first signs of that integration are now appearing. Diners can discover certain Tock venues through Resy, although some listings may still redirect users to Tock to complete their reservations.

The expansion matters because Tock offers more than conventional restaurant bookings. Depending on the destination, its inventory may include:

  • Prepaid tasting menus

  • Winery visits and tastings

  • Afternoon tea experiences

  • Chef-led dinners

  • Rooftop events

  • Bowling, miniature golf and other entertainment venues

  • Special holiday or themed dining experiences

That could make the Resy Credit much easier to use, especially for cardholders who previously had few participating restaurants near home.

Not Every Tock Venue Will Qualify Immediately

Cardholders should not assume that every new Tock listing is eligible for a statement credit.

Select Tock venues are reportedly expected to begin qualifying for the Resy Credit on September 15, 2026. Eligibility will roll out gradually, so some restaurants or experiences may qualify while others do not.

The safest approach is to look for the Resy Credit eligibility badge on the venue’s page before paying. Resy also offers a filter that allows users to display qualifying venues.

This verification step is particularly important because, effective August 1, 2026, a restaurant or other food-and-beverage establishment must be identified as eligible on Resy at the time of purchase. Simply finding a venue listed on the platform may not be enough.

Eligibility can also change. Check the listing again shortly before your visit, especially if you made the reservation weeks or months in advance.

Which American Express Cards Offer Resy Credits?

Several U.S. American Express cards include recurring Resy statement credits. Enrollment is required.

The amounts and eligibility requirements are confirmed in the Resy Credit FAQ. Terms apply, and benefits can change.

The Platinum Card’s quarterly credit is particularly flexible because cardholders do not have to spend the entire $100 in one visit. Multiple eligible purchases during the quarter can trigger statement credits until the $100 maximum is reached.

The Gold Card’s benefit works similarly, but its two benefit periods are six months each. Cardholders can receive up to $50 between January and June, followed by another $50 between July and December.

Monthly Delta credits require more attention. Because unused amounts do not carry over, cardholders must make an eligible purchase each month to capture the full annual value.

How to Use the Resy Credit

Using the benefit is relatively straightforward:

  1. Enroll through the Benefits section of your American Express account.

  2. Open Resy and search for restaurants in your city or destination.

  3. Apply the Resy Credit filter or look for the eligibility badge on an individual venue’s page.

  4. Pay with the eligible American Express card enrolled in the benefit.

  5. Watch for the statement credit to appear.

A reservation is not always required. An eligible purchase made directly at a qualifying U.S. restaurant may trigger the credit even if the table was not booked through Resy.

Eligible transactions may also include prepaid reservations purchased directly through Resy and payments made with Resy Pay. However, purchases processed through delivery services, third-party payment platforms or certain businesses inside hotels and department stores may not qualify.

American Express says statement credits typically appear within a few days but may take as long as eight weeks. Full requirements are available on the official Gold Card and Platinum Card benefit pages.

Consider Using the Credit While Traveling

The Tock integration could be most valuable for people who do not have many Resy restaurants near home.

Before an upcoming trip, search the destination in Resy and filter for eligible venues. Major dining markets such as New York City and Washington, D.C., may offer a wide variety of options, but smaller destinations can also have participating restaurants and experiences.

Planning ahead may allow you to turn a credit that would otherwise expire into a memorable part of your trip—whether that means a tasting menu, a winery visit or a distinctive local restaurant.

Platinum Card members should pay particular attention to the calendar. Because the benefit resets quarterly, a purchase must be processed during the applicable quarter. For example, the July-through-September credit generally needs to be used by September 30.

The Bottom Line

The Resy and Tock integration has the potential to make American Express dining credits significantly more useful.

More restaurants are helpful, but the real opportunity is the variety Tock brings. Wineries, prepaid menus and special culinary events could give cardholders more interesting ways to redeem credits that were previously limited by a smaller local Resy footprint.

For now, the key is to verify eligibility instead of assuming every Tock venue qualifies. Enroll in the benefit, use the Resy Credit filter and confirm that the venue displays the eligibility badge before paying.

If American Express continues expanding the participating network as planned, the Resy Credit could become one of the easiest—and most enjoyable—recurring benefits to use.
